Why is there no meter reading on bills based on time-series data?

Corresponding to the stipulations of the new Act on Electric Energy, the basis of accounts for the time-series consumer group (consumers with a contracted low-voltage capacity exceeding 3x80 A, and medium- or high voltage consumers choosing billing based on time-series data) are the 15-minute load data collected by a meter capable of displaying and recording consumption capacity.
The amount of electric energy that is the basis of accounts is determined by the Distribution Code as such:
Metered electric energy is the amount of electric energy consumed and delivered at the meter site within the accounted period, which amount is the sum of the data metered in the settlement metering intervals.
The settlement metering frequency of network withdrawal and intake is 15 minutes, which means 3x96 items of metering data per day. Since it is impossible to display the more than 8000 data items per month on the bill, we display the total amount of electric energy consumed per month.
Accounts are thus made on the basis of 15-minute metering data instead of the meter reads. The detailed 15-minute metering data can be accessed by reading the load curve via a phone line (with the help of a special software), or by using our Energy Info service available 24/7 on the internet.
